Google Nexus One To Launch In April
![]() |
The Google Nexus One will launch in the UK in April.
Originally it was thought it would launch in March, but that has proved unfeasible and now prospective UK customers will have to wait till April.
The Google Nexus One is a unique position because you can only buy it from Google.com/phone and not from the high-street. No other mobile has ever been sold exclusively online and even more you can’t even buy it from the Vodafone site, which is the operator that will first carry the Nexus One in the UK.
Details concerning tariffs are yet to be confirmed, however it’s likely to be a premium phone and will therefore have similar packages to the iPhone.
Google has a lot riding on the success of the Google Nexus One, which is made by HTC and is their first move into the mobile market.
A 1 Ghz Snapdragon processor powers the Google Nexus One and it has a 3.7 inch touch-screen, 5 mega-pixel camera, 512MB of ram and runs on Android 2.1 Operating system.
Once we get more details concerning an exact launch date and tariffs we’ll let you know.
