Google Maps For Android Updated To Version 4.1

Google have released a new version of its Google Maps software for Android.
Google Maps 4.1 for Android brings with it a number of improvements that help to give the end user an even better experience.
One improvement is that the search results pages have been updated. Results used to feature tabs which you need to use to view all your information, but new buttons have now been added to display al the information of one page. The functions of these new buttons include seeing the place on the map, getting directions, calling the place or seeing it through Street view.
Another improvement that Google Maps 4.1 brings is that you can now use swipe gestures to move between results and screens, which make the user-interface even more intuitive.
Widgets have also been added with Google Maps 4.1 which enables you to see the location of your nearest friends without having to open maps. The latitude Widget also enables you to glance at the latest traffic conditions without having to open the Google Maps application.
All Android mobiles running on version 1.6 or newer can download Google Maps 4.1 from the Android Market right now.
