Google have introduced another new way to search which is known as “Gesture Search”.
Gesture Search was originally available only on Android 2.0 mobiles or newer, but has since been made available to Android 1.6 users.
Gesture search enables you to quickly find a contact, application, bookmark or music track by drawing a gesture on your mobiles touch-screen. For example, if searching your contacts you can draw an A onto the screen and your phone will bring up all contacts beginning with A.
The system is smart too and if it’s in any doubt about what letter you mean to type it will bring up both possibilities. It will also learn over time based on your handwriting in the past.
You can download Gesture Search from the Android Market right now.
