| Industry's First TDMA Mobile Phone with Color Display |
18th March 2003 |
The STH-A325 features a 65,000-color TFT-LCD that provides sharp images and a 40 polyphonic ring tone (another first for TDMA) for natural sound reproduction. This model is only 85mm long and weighs just 110g; the built-in directory can accommodate up to 500 entries. The folder design, popular in Latin America, is expected to boost sales even more. Now, Samsung Electronics is offering mobile phones with color displays in the Americas as well as in Europe and China. The company is in the position to diversify and segment marketing activities in response to any changes within each region. Samsung Electronics’ TDMA sales in Latin America are forecast to remain at around 1.7 million in 2003. With its new color display model, the company expects to strengthen its dominance in this market. |
