| Comverse Delivers Wireline SMS Solution To KPN Telecom |

Comverse
announced that KPNTelecom has selected Comverse's Wireline SMS Solution
for its network inthe Netherlands, enabling subscribers to send and receive
short textmessages on their home and business phones.Through its Wireline SMS Solution, utilizing the Short Message ServiceCenter (SMSC), Comverse enables fixed telephone subscribers to exchangeshort text messages with one another and with their mobile counterparts.Comverse has extended this platform to include a PSTN interface andintelligent cross-network processing that supports SMS messaging within thefixed environment and between fixed and mobile networks. Comverse teamed up with Viking Telecom, the Swedish supplier of accessproducts and systems for mobile services in fixed telecom networks, to giveKPN Telecom an end-to-end SMS solution. KPN Telecom subscribers will beable to use SMS-capable phone terminals equipped with a roomy LCD displayand an alphanumeric keyboard that makes "texting" easy. "Mobile operators
have enjoyed soaring volumes of SMS traffic, making itone
of the most popular and successful data applications to date. Now,fixed
network operators can get a piece of the SMS market. Comverse'sWireline
SMS Solution is designed to bring the success of SMS to the PSTNmarket,"
