Three have added five new countries to its 'Feel At Home' service which enables Pay monthly, Pay-As-You-Go, SIM-only and Mobile broadband customers to use their existing allowances abroad for free.
Those visiting France, Switzerland, Israel, Finland and Norway will now be able to call back home, browse the internet and send text messages to loved ones using their existing allowance. That brings the total number of countries to 16 with USA, Italy, Republic of Ireland, Austria, Australia, Sweden, Denmark, Sri Lanka, Hong Kong, Indonesia and Macau already added.
There is no additional cost and all you need to do before your trip is ring Three and activate 'International Roaming', which you can do by logging into your My3 account online or contacting customer services by dialling 333 on your 3 smartphone, or 0333 300 3333 from other phones (standard rates apply).
As soon as you touchdown at your destination 'Feel At Home' will automatically activate and connect you to a local network. A couple of things to bear in mind are that calls and texts to non-UK numbers will be charged at standard roaming rates and that data tethering is not included.
'Feel At Home' isn't the only great perk offered to Three customers because those on new Pay Monthly plans also get free 0800 calls and 4G at no extra cost. They also offer a range of great value SIM only plans starting from just £6.90 a month and industry leading Pay As You Go rates (3p per min, 2p per text and 1p per MB).
