The HTC One Mini 2 might not be quite as exciting as the HTC One M8 but it’s not far off. With an almost identical, premium aluminium shell it certainly looks the part and with a smaller 4.5 inch screen it’s more pocket friendly.
It’s also now available on Three, with prices starting at £31 per month for either unlimited minutes, 1GB of data and unlimited texts or 600 minutes, 2GB of data and unlimited texts. Or for £34 per month you can get it with a choice of unlimited data, unlimited texts and 600 minutes or unlimited minutes, 2GB of data and unlimited texts. At the upper end you can get it with unlimited everything for £37 per month.
Whatever deal you get it on it carries a £19.66 upfront price, but that cost only stays at £19.66 while England is in the World Cup. Once England gets knocked out or wins the price will go up, so get in now before it’s too late.
As well as having a premium build the HTC One Mini 2 rocks a 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor and 1GB of RAM, so it’s a solid performer and it has a 4.5 inch 720p display. There’s a 13 megapixel camera on the back and it has 16GB of built in storage, coupled with a microSD card slot supporting cards of up to 128GB and of course it also supports 4G. So all in all it’s a great upper mid-range handset with a high end build.
It also has many of the features you’d expect from an HTC phone, like BoomSound and BlinkFeed, but one of the best features is arguably the 5 megapixel front facing camera which is ideal for selfies. In fact HTC even went so far as to equip it with a ‘selfie mode’ countdown timer. You can check it out in action in Three’s sneak peek video above.
