Spotify has always been available on all major mobile platforms with the only noticeable exception being Blackberry. The good news is that the Spotify application is now officially available for Blackberry smartphones.

The Spotify application has been available in beta for 8 months, but now the application is available in its final form. The Spotify application can be downloaded from Blackberry App World right now on the Bold 9780, Bold 9700, Curve 9300, Bold 9000 and 8520 Curve.

Spotify on Blackberry requires users to purchase a premium subscription which costs £9.99 per month. For your money you get unlimited access to the millions of tracks featured on Spotify, as well as all of other Spotify Premium features.

Some of the best features of Spotify include the capability to create play-lists, the option to listen to music offline and its amazing social networking features.

Blackberry users have had the choice of using BBM Music for some time, but the addition of Spotify gives them another option. Spotify has a greater song choice and is the more complete application overall, so we could see it becoming the dominant music streaming service on Blackberry smartphones.
