Sony Unveil Xperia Tipo - A Dual-Sim Android 4.0 Smartphone !
Earlier today we brought you news that Sony had unveiled the Xperia Miro, which is an affordable smartphone running Android Ice Cream Sandwich. In addition to that announcement Sony also confirmed the Xperia Tipo.
The Sony Xperia Tipo is a dual-sim smartphone running on Android Ice Cream Sandwich. This is quite a unique proposition because dual-sim smartphones are normally aimed at developing markets and are usually feature phones.
The Sony Xperia Tipo will be available in the UK, which makes it the perfect for smartphone for those who need to use two SIM-cards or those wanting to share mobiles. We don't have an exact launch date or price but it'll hit the market in the third quarter of 2012.
The specification of the Xperia Tipo isn't cutting-edge, but thats because its an affordable smartphone.
The Xperia Tipo comes with a 3.2 inch scratch-resistant touch-screen and a 3.2 mega-pixel camera, while it also supports both WiFi and Bluetooth. As we previously mentioned it'll run on Android 4.0 and will be available in a choice of Red, White , Blue or Black.
As soon as 3G hear anymore about the Xperia Tipo, such as its price and release date, we'll let you know.
