New Spotify Update Adds Radio Support

Spotify

Spotify have announced the release of a new version of their application which adds support for user-generated radio stations.

Anyone who have used the desktop version of Spotify will be familiar with Spotify radio stations which enable users to generate an unlimited number of radio stations.

The radio stations are automatically generated by Spotify based on a users playlists, on a selected artist or even a song or album. In essence Spotify Radio enables users to find similar music to the stuff they already like which is an excellent new way to find new artists.

When listening to the radio you can then thumb-up or thumb-down tracks which ensures your radio station only  Another great thing about Spotify Radio is that you begin listening on one device, such as an iPad , and then continue listening on another device, such as your iPhone.

Sadly, in the UK Spotify Radio will only be available to premium users due to some problem with licensing and regulation in the UK. However, at least the option is there for true music fans !

The new Spotify application will be available to download on iOS devices and Android devices in the next week.
