Acer first showcased the Iconia Tab A700 back at CES in January and its now been officially unveiled and is available for pre-order in the US and Canada.
The Acer Iconia Tab A700 has an amazing 10.1 inch touch-screen which runs at a resolution of 1920*1200 pixels. This means it supports full HD and has a higher resolution than full HD TV's and delivers 55 per cent higher pixel density than 1280*720p tablet displays.
The 10.1 inch 16:9 display is perfect for multi-media content and the Iconia Tab A700 also has amazing sound credentials. It supports Dolby® Mobile 3 with 5.1-channel home theatre surround sound.
The Iconia Tab A700 is powered by an Nvidia Tegra 3 quad-core processor which makes it the most powerful tablet on the market. This combines with 1GB of RAM and a 12-Core Nvidia GPU to offer amazing gaming and multi-media performance.
Other features of Acer's powerhouse tablet include 32GB of on-board memory, a 5 mega-pixel rear facing camera, front-facing 1 mega-pixel camera and support for microSD cards. The tablet runs on Android Ice Cream Sandwich so it benefits from all the tablet software !
The Acer Iconia Tab is available to pre-order in the US and Canada and is priced at $449.99 (£320). as soon as 3G get news of a UK launch we'll let you know.
