Acer have unveiled the Iconia Tab A110 which is a 7 inch Android tablet which appears to be have been built to rival the Amazon Kindle Fire and the upcoming Google Nexus Tablet.
The Acer Iconia Tab A110 will have a 7 inch touch-screen running at a resolution of 1024*600 pixels, while its powered by an Nvidia Tegra 3 processor and has 1GB of RAM. That combination will give it more than enough power to smoothly run Android Ice Cream Sandwich.
Other features include 8GB of on-board memory , a front facing camera, microSD support and a micro-HDMI port.
Everything looks pretty standard about the Iconia Tab A110 so far, but the price is what really sets the tablet apart. According to an Acer employee at the event where the tablet was unveiled it'll come in at under $200.
This is an amazing price for the specification and will pit the tablet directly in competition with the Amazon Kindle Fire and the upcoming Google Nexus Tablet. We hope the tablet launches in the UK because we've already missed out on Amazon's tablet !
