Samsung Galaxy S 2011 Edition

The Samsung Galaxy S is now quite an old mobile and is in need of a replacement. Well we know what your thinking, what about the Samsung Galaxy S2.

This was our reaction to when we heard about the Samsung Galaxy S 2011, which is an updated version of the Samsung Galaxy S.  However, we think it's effectively a mobile below the Samsung Galaxy S2, which is slightly more affordable.

The 2011 version of the Galaxy S , also being called the Galaxy Plus, is a definite improvement on the original. In particular the processor speed has been bumped up from 1GHz to 1.4 GHz, which provide it with extra snap and multi-tasking performance. The battery has also been improved meaning it will last that bit longer !

The other features are essentially the same which means it has a 4 inch touch-screen, 5 mega-pixel camera, 512MB of RAM, 8GB onboard storage and support for 3G and WiFi. It will come pre-loaded with Android 2.3, which is the latest version of Google's operating system.

The Galaxy S 2011 is already available in Korea, Russia and is coming soon to Holland. We're not sure whether the Galaxy S 2011 will come to the UK, but if it does it could offer a nice alternative to those who can't afford a Galaxy S2.
