Nokia X7

The Nokia X7 is a new entertainment-orientated smartphone that will run on the Symbian^3 operating system.  It was announced last month and was due to launch sometime this month.

Nokia have not disappointed us because the smartphone is now available to pre-order from their site.  The launch date is listed as the end of June and the price for the new device is £399 SIM-Free. Alternatively, you can get the device free on contracts starting at just £25 a month.

The Nokia X7 runs on the latest Symbian version, code-named Anna,  which features a number of improvements and new features. The Nokia X7 has a good specification which includes a 4 inch touch-screen that facilitates excellent multi-media playback and gaming.

The 8 mega-pixel camera can used to record HD video which can be played back on the X7's HD screen. Furthermore, the device supports HD gaming with games available to download from the Ovi Store. Onboard memory is a massive 8GB, which should be more than enough to store your games, photos, music and more. The Nokia X7 supports 3G and WiFi and also has a 3.5 mm headphone socket for playback and gaming in public places.

The design of the mobile is quite futuristic and the case is made from brushed stainless steel giving it a “luxury feel” and great durability. We really like the mobile but we still prefer the Sony Ericsson Xperia Play as a gaming device due to its sliding game-pad.

The Nokia X7 is due to launch on Three later this month and will be available free on the One Plan. Once we hear anymore about the Nokia X7 we’ll let you know.
