You may have heard of SoundHound which is a music application which lets you do a voice search for music tracks and artists.

The company has now released Hound which is a basic less beefy version of SoundHound. SoundHound is available for both iPhone and Android users but Hound is only available currently for Android.

Hound is a voice search application. Speak it, get it. The fastest and easiest way to search has arrived for music.

Simply speak the name of an artist or band and instantly get access to song previews, lyrics, album art, and videos, see artist bios, album info, tour dates and more. No need to type or tap, just hound it.

To use Hound tap the button, speak the name of the song or artist (or both) and Hound should find it. Hound provides search results for both You Tube apps and Amazon MP3 tracks.

Hound is free to download whereas the full version of Sound Hound has more functions and comes free or paid. The free version of SoundHound comes with ads displayed while paid version is free of ads and costs around £4.
