![]() |
Nokia has confirmed that the Nokia N9 will run on its new MeeGo platform.
The annoucement means that the Nokia N8 was the last smartphone to run on Symbian^3 and that Nokia will be using the MeeGo platform on all its high-end handsets in the future.
The MeeGo platform is an open-source Linux operating system that is the outcome of a collaboration between Intel and Nokia.
The Nokia N9 is being billed as the successor to the brilliant Nokia N900, which is an amazing phone that has not sold as well as it deserves to.
The latest rumours suggest the Nokia N9 will have a 10 mega-pixel camera, multi-touch capacitive touch-screen and as mentioned before will run on the MeeGo platform.
Once we hear more about the Nokia N9 we'll be sure to let you know.
