The Nokia 5228 has appeared on Nokia’s UK website which can only mean that it will be launching soon. The Nokia 5228 was originally planned as an exclusive for the German market but this seems to have changed.

There are around 5 Nokia 52XX series handsets with the original being the Nokia 5230. The German version is the Nokia 5228 which is now on its way to the UK as we mentioned. Its important to realize that the Nokia 5228 is a much lower affordable handsets that has no 3G or GPS included.

The Nokia 5228 does have a 3.2 inch responsive touchscreen with 640 x 360 pixels, Symbian S60 operating system, onscreen QWERTY keyboard or stylus, megapixel camera, 16 GB of memory on a microSD card, Ovi Mail and the ability to store up to 3,400 tracks.

In fact, as you may have guessed from its numbering, the Nokia 5228 looks and feels like the Nokia 5230 but with the omissions as above.

We have no idea what pricing will be set at for the Nokia 5228 but would not be surprised if it sells between £75 and £100. It will be available in White/Silver White/Blue and Black/Black colour schemes.
