Apple To Fix iPhone 4 Antenna Problems With Software Update ?
![]() |
The launch of the iPhone 4 has been plagued by the issue with signal loss which is due to the placement of the internal antenna.
The latest on the matter suggests that Apple had very little choice on where to place the antenna because the FCC dictate that antennas have to placed as far as possible from a users head as possible.
So the only possible solution was to put the antenna in the bottom left of the mobile as their are far more right-handed than left-handed people in the world !
According to AppleInsider , users on the Apple forum saw details of an update being discussed that will correct the problem. The software update, iOS 4.0.1, will apparently recalibrate the radio frequency which will fix the problem.
Experts have suggested that the problem is related to radio frequencies and happens when the mobile switches frequencies.
We'll keep you posted on all the developments when we hear them.
