Android and Swype Cuddle Up
![]() |
Swype looks as though it will be pre-loaded onto nearly 50 Android touchscreen smartphones in the future. The Samsung Galaxy S is reported to be the first of 50 Android touchscreen smartphones which will come delivered with Swype included as a “Text Input for Screens” option.
Swype offers a faster and easier way to input text on any touchscreen. With one continuous finger or stylus motion across the screen keyboard, users can input words faster and easier at over 40 words per minute.
Swype expect to reach the target of having Swype pre-loaded onto nearly 50 Android touchscreen smartphones by the end of 2010. With over 65K mobile phones with Google Android being sold per day this is a significant breakthrough for Swype and will push them up the “Text Input for Screens” pecking order.
