Symantec, one of the world’s most famous internet security software companies, have announced they have launched a version of its Norton software for Android smartphones.
As mobile phones becoming more and more like desktop PC’s the risk of getting a virus while surfing the web or downloading a file has become much greater.
This is the first major virus software to launch for Android smartphones and enables users to search for malware, virus and block calls. Additionally, it enables users to delete private data of their mobiles remotely incase they lose their mobile or it gets stolen.
The Norton application can scan over 100 applications in 30 seconds , which means it won’t take ages for you to find out if your mobile is infected.
With internet browsing on your mobile becoming more advanced all the time we can only see more virus software launching over the next year and no doubt their will be a big infection of smartphones somewhere in the future.
The Norton software for Android mobiles is available in pre-release beta from the Android market now and comes as a 3 month free-trial.
