INQ To Focus On Android Multi-Touch Mobiles
![]() |
INQ have announced they will be adopting Android as the main platform for its mobile range.
The manufacturer which has produced a number of mobiles for Three are likely to launch their first Android mobile around Christmas time.
Past mobiles offered by INQ include the INQ1, which was one of the first mobiles to come pre-loaded with social networking applications and the INQ Chat 3G (Above Left), as well as the INQ Mini 3G (Above Right).
The announcement came from the INQ Chief Executive Frank Meehan who announced they will launch Android mobiles with multi-touch support.
This new shift to Android could also signal a move to higher-end mobiles because historically INQs offering have been lower-price options that often shipped more units in developing countries than in the UK.
It’s a risk for INQ because they have historically aimed for the younger markets and the developing world and if they do deviate from this they risk a more competitive marketing based sector.
