Two of HTC’s leading 3G smartphones now benefit from an upgrade to its software. The HTC Desire gets Version 1.21.405.2 update and the HTC Legend gets Version 1.31.405.4 update.

These updates for the Android 2.1 handsets can be classed as minor. The updates are mainly in relation to the UI ( user interface ) on the Desire and Legend and can be downloaded “Over The Air “ by heading here http://www.htc.com/europe/support.aspx

HTC owners may have been hoping to grab a firmware update to Android 2.2 but will have to wait for now. The current update according to HTC specialist sites improve the YouTube App functionality, provide a new bootloader, offers a new radio image and improves Facebook contact management.
