HTC has released a Limited Edition of the HTC Desire in Silver. The standard version of the HTC Desire is sort of like golden dark brown colour, so to stand out you can now have the silver edition.

The HTC Desire in Silver is currently available for five hundred pounds SIM free from Xpansys Online. Stock is reported to be with the on-line retailer this week.

The HTC Desire Limited Edition in Silver may be available from other sources such as the 3G network operators but this is just speculation at this stage. It does seem strange that a very popular handset like the HTC Desire was only available in one colour up to now. Maybe moves are afoot to introduce a range of colours.
