HTC Buys Mobile App Developer

HTC has bought a French Mobile Applications Company called Abaxia. We hear at 3G.co.uk have heard of Abaxia who specialize in designing and developing mobile applications for OEM handset makers and mobile operators.
Of course, back in April, HTC confirmed they would produce their own Operating System and you can read this article here : HTC To Produce Their Own Operating System and we wonder if this is the reason for the additional support via Abaxia.
Abaxia has an impressive client list which includes HTC, Motorola, Nokia and Samsung and its software is embedded into over 50 different mobile phones. The current trend is to have your mobile phone home screen/s customisable with all the wanted features, and this is where Abaxia excel.
HTC are obviously mapping out a route here to “fast-track” their own mobile app development and new operating system onwards and upwards. HTC were previously a customer of Abaxia so they should have a good idea of the way ahead. HTC are launching new smartphones at a quickening pace as we have seen recently with the HTC Wildfire, HTC Mondrian. HTC HD and Mini to name just a few.
