2 Million iPads Sold Since Launch
![]() |
Apple has announced that they have sold over 2 million iPads worldwide.
The iPad launched in the US on April 6th, so it’s been almost 2 months of sales there and over 1 million iPad sales came in the first month in the US alone.
The international launch only took place on Friday which makes the figure even more impressive. With the addition of sales in Europe, Australia and Japan to be added over the figure will only continue to grow.
In the UK the 32GB of the iPad costs £499, with the 64GB version costing an additional £100.
Whether these figures are meeting or exceeding the targets set by Apple we don’t know, but we think the figure is very impressive.
Apple also stated they expect to sell 800,000 iPads in the UK alone by the end of this year with another 800,000 also sold in France.
