INQ Mobile Readies a New Twitter Mobile Phone

3rd June , 2009

UK : According to Reuters, a dedicated Twitter mobile phone is planned by London based Social Mobile company INQ. We would guess that the handset would be taken by 3 UK as they already exclusively sell  the INQ Facebook mobile phone ( inset left ) .For more information on the INQ 1 click here.

Twitter is such a popular messaging service that a dedicated mobile phone seems feasible looking at the tremendous success 3 UK have had with the INQ Facebook mobile phone. Of course, the INQ was awarded the “Best Mobile Handset Award” at the 2009 Global Mobile Handset Awards.

Only this week, LG announced the launch of Two New Social Networking Phones- the LG GW520 and LG GT505. These two new handsets enable consumers to be at the heart of their online communities anytime, anywhere, with push updates from social networking sites and both business and personal email.

It has also been reported that INQ will incorporate the following into the new Twitter mobile phone : Tweets ( a 140 character message ) will be used in place of the existing text messages that are currently used.

Frank Meehan, chief executive of INQ  commented "This can really help open up and drive Twitter use on mobile when usage becomes part of your data package like on the PC."

The Twitter mobile phone is primarily a budget phone and is likely to be priced at around £85.
