US : Mangrove Systems announced it is fully compliant with the European Union's (EU) directive on the Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) for its full line of Piranha(TM) platforms. RoHS, enacted by the EU in February, 2003, are the regulations and standards governing the use of six hazardous substances within electrical and electronic equipment. Manufacturers of electronics products outside Europe must abide by this legislation if the equipment they produce is ultimately imported to an EU member state. The legislation will be enforced throughout the European Union beginning July 1, 2006. "Mangrove is pleased to have acted to help their customers achieve early compliance with RoHS," said John Hannon, Mangrove's CFO and COO.
