3G Player Heads East

Europe : UbiNetics, a world leader in 3G Terminal and Test & Measurement, has just announced the opening of a Sales and Support facility in Yokohama Bay, Japan.

The Company has enjoyed considerable success in Japan recently through its ability to deliver both advanced test solutions to Network Operators and Infrastructure manufacturers, and reference designs to Semiconductor manufacturers. The expansion will be key to meeting the needs of its Japanese customers.

"Japan has for a long time been at the forefront in developing and deploying leading edge telecommunications technologies such as WCDMA and HSDPA," said John Dixon, Senior Vice President at UbiNetics. "Having a local presence will be a critical factor in allowing us to get closer to our customers, and provide them with the timely, and responsive support they demand".

UbiNetics has had a sales presence in Japan since the company's inception in 1999. Recent successes in both Test and Measurement and Terminal IP business areas are the drivers behind the recent expansion. The new office will act as a springboard for further growth and the company expects that Japan will continue to account for a major part of its future revenues.
