2 New GSM Wireless Handsets for US |
23rd June , 2004 |
US : LG Mobile Phones announced the release of two new handsets, the L1200 tri-band world phone with integrated camera, and the stylish and compact C1300 clamshell phone, both of which are available immediately to Cingular Wireless customers. Cingular Wireless was the first carrier in the U.S. to offer LG's line of handsets for the Global System for Mobile communications (GSM) and continues to be their key partner as LG introduces two new GSM handsets. Whether it's fashion week in Paris, the theater in London or baseball in Atlanta, the L1200 world phone offers mobile phone connectivity worldwide (GSM/GPRS 850/1800/1900 MHz systems -- Europe and US only). The LG L1200 handset allows consumers to globetrot freely while keeping completely connected at all times with instant messaging, text messaging and multimedia messaging capabilities, as well as a one-touch Internet access button. Additionally, the L1200 is the first GSM handset from LG to feature an integrated VGA camera with digital zoom, resolution adjustment, white balance and color effects adjustments, along with photo caller ID display. Designed in LG's trademark sleek clamshell design, the L1200 from Cingular Wireless offers users a mobile phone for experiencing and capturing everything life has to offer, around the world. In addition to the eye-catching L1200, LG continues to branch out into the GSM space with the launch of the C1300 handset, combining style, fun and affordability in one sleek package. The compact C1300 provides a color display and a wide variety of other desirable features at an entry-tier price point, giving all consumers the chance to experience LG's high-resolution internal color screen, high-speed data transmission and JAVA capability for downloading applications, games and ring tones. The C1300 is designed in LG's trademark clamshell design, in a sleek, silver color with small external mirror and a light that indicates an incoming call or message, all weighing in at less than three ounces and not more than one inch thick. "We are pleased that Cingular customers will be the first to experience our L1200 and C1300 GSM handsets," said Juno Cho, president, LG Mobile Phones. "The L1200 offers a range of advanced features that consumers are clamoring for, and the C1300 demonstrates LG's commitment to style and quality at any price point." The LG L1200 and C1300 are available at most Cingular Wireless retail stores and authorized dealers in select markets throughout the U.S. |
