We continually strive to offer innovative solutions that make things smarter and life better for our customers and consumers.” Mobile Broadband Leading Momentum
with Push-To-Talk over Cellular (PoC) wins and innovation This IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS)-based Cross-Technology PoC solution, developed using Motorola’s softswitching expertise and IP network elements, works across any packet-based network, including WiFi. It enables subscribers to have "push-to" connectivity across and between GPRS, CDMA2000 1Xand WiFi networks thereby enhancing the roaming coverage area for PoC service. Designed to further Motorola’s goal of bringing the benefits of Push-To-Talk communication to consumers and enterprise users worldwide, the solution also will be compatible in the future with Enhanced Data Rate for Global Evolution (EDGE), HSDPA, Wideband CDMA/Universal Mobile Telecommunications System (W-CDMA/UMTS), and 802.16 “WiMAX” technologies. This network-based Cross-Technology PoC solution functions using the Motorola IMS and can be upgraded to enable future ‘push-to’ enhancements and functionality such as Push-To-Video. It is aligned with Open Mobile Alliance (OMA) standards, and does not require modification to standards-based PoC clients. Advancing 3G Research
