If you want a phone that stands out the HTC One M8 is a good choice, thanks to its stunning curved metal chassis and eye-catching (not to mention ear-pleasing) BoomSound speakers. But it’s only currently available in three colour schemes- grey, silver and gold, so it can be hard to stand out from other HTC One M8 owners.
That might not be a problem for much longer though as a Glamour Red version of the handset is making its way to these shores and it’s going to be available exclusively on O2. The new phone stands out not only because it’s different but because it’s a comparatively bright and bold colour which will definitely get some glances from passers-by.
The phone is set to arrive on the 4th of August and you won’t have to pay a premium for it as it’s going to be available on the same O2 Refresh tariffs as the existing shades. Not that those are exactly cheap. £38 is the lowest monthly cost which you can get it at with nothing to pay upfront, for which you’ll also get 2GB of 4G data, unlimited minutes and unlimited texts. Other tariffs include up to 8GB of 4G data or as little as 500MB.
As well as carrying the same price as existing HTC One M8 models it also has the same specs, including a 2.3GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor, 2GB of RAM, a 5.0 inch 1080p screen and a 4 Ultrapixel camera. So in other words it’s exactly the same phone, just in a new colour.
But with the HTC One M9 or whatever it ends up being called still likely to be around half a year away it’s well worth considering, if you want one of the best phones on the market in a relatively rare colour.
