HTC One Max : Phablet's Specification and Launch Date Leaked

HTC's One Max looks set to challenge Samsung's Galaxy Note range directly.

Earlier this month we brought you news that HTC would be launching their first tablet, the HTC One Max. More information about the phablet has surfaced thanks to sources inside the Taiwanese companies supply chain.

Apparently, the HTC One Max will launch before the end of the third quarter of 2013 - potentially opening up a September launch. That should put it in direct competition with Samsung's Galaxy Note 3 , which looks set to land in October.

The specification of the HTC One Max is rumoured to include a 6 inch Super LCD3 display running at a resolution of 1920*1080 pixels. It'll be powered by a 2.3 GHz quad-core processor backed up by 2GB of RAM - a beastly device for sure.

Such a power-hungry phablet could suffer from poor battery-life, but thankfully it'll come with 3,300 mAH capacity battery. Sadly, that's all we know so far about the HTC One Max - although, we can be pretty confident it'll come pre-loaded with Android Jelly Bean and will support 4G LTE !

It's been a mixed year for HTC so far with the HTC One being critically appraised - ruined somewhat by stock shortages. While, the HTC First was canned after an unsuccessful launch in the US and consequently won't ever be available in the UK.

We're sure the HTC One Max will be a great device, but competing with Samsung is no easy task. The Galaxy Note range is seen as the "daddy" of phablets and will be a tough nut to crack - with Samsung set to raise their game further with the launch of the Galaxy Note 3.

As soon as we get more news about the HTC One Max you'll be the first to know !
