Galaxy Nexus , Nexus S and Motorola XOOM Getting Android Jelly Bean !

Google have announced that they've begun rolling out Android Jelly Bean for the Samsung Galaxy Nexus. The HSPA+ version, which isn't available in the UK , will be the first to get the update followed by all other Samsung Galaxy Nexus smartphones, the Google Nexus S and the Motorola XOOM.

Sadly, Google didn't give a release schedule for the updates, but considering they've begun rolling out Jelly Bean for the HSPA+ version of the Galaxy Nexus they can't be too far away.

Android Jelly Bean (4.1) will bring a whole host of improvements and new features to the devices listed above.  The flagship new feature is "Google Now" which is Google's answer to Siri and enables you to easily ask questions to your smartphone using voice-recognition.

The home-screen widgets have been improved and will now automatically make space for widgets by re-sizing existing widgets or moving them. One of our favourite new features is that the "Notification Bar" now supports actions, such as calling someone back or opening a browser.

The overall user-interface has been improved and made more responsive, while the on-screen keyboard has been more user-friendly. The search has also been made more efficient and accurate, while the photo album also benefits from a number of improvements.

3G will bring you more news about the Android Jelly Bean update coming to existing smartphones when we get more information !
