Samsung Galaxy Tab To Get Gingerbread
Google Android, Samsung Galaxy Tab

The Samsung Galay Tab launched quite a while ago but that hasn't stopped Samsung announcing it will be getting an Android update.
The Galaxy Tab currently runs on Android 2.2 , but Samsung have announced that it will be upgraded to Gingerbread (2.3) over the next couple of weeks. Like all Android updates it'll be available to SIM-Free owners first, while others will have to wait for their operator to release the update.
The update itself will be available to download using Samsung's Kies software and will bring a number of improvements to the Galaxy Tab. Key improvements include improved copy and paste functionality, better user-interface , download management and support for multiple-cameras.
We're quite impressed that Samsung continues to support the original Galaxy Tab and think the device is now quite desirable as a lower-price alternative to the current crop of tablets.
