The Samsung Galaxy Ace launched earlier this year and is aimed at "young professionals" who are looking for a stylish smartphone.
The Galaxy Ace launched running on Android 2.2, but Three have now confirmed that it will be upgraded to Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) . Three confirmed on their Twitter that the update would be available within a week on Samsung's Kies update software.
The Gingerbread update (version 2.3.3) will bring a number of improvements to the smartphone including better copy and paste functionality, redesigned virtual keyboard and a Samsung Touchwiz interface.
The Samsung Galaxy Ace has a 3.5 inch touch-screen, is powered by an 800MHz processor and has a 5 mega-pixel camera with LED Flash. In terms of connecitivity the Ace supports Bluetooth and 3G.
The Samsung Galaxy Ace is available to buy from the Three store right now, where it is available on the One Plan for £27 a month. The One Plan gets you 2,000 minutes, 5,000 texts and unlimited data.
