HTC Evo 3D Axed By Vodafone
![]() |
The HTC Evo 3D is due to launch in September and Vodafone had confirmed that they would be carrying the device. However, they have now dropped the mobile from its Coming Soon page.
Vodafone have said that they are not stocking the mobile because many other flagship mobiles are launching at that time. We're not sure what the other mobiles are, but the speculation is that it could be the iPhone 5 and could this removal suggest the iPhone might feature 3D ?
Whatever the reason it's bad news for UK consumers as our appraisal of the Evo 3D showed its a better 3D smartphone than the LG Optimus 3D. You can read our comparison of the Evo 3D and Optimus 3D here.
At the moment no other operators are planning to carry the smartphone, so it could be those looking to get one will have to buy it SIM-free. However, we do hope a network takes advantage of Vodafone's refusal to stock the device.
Although this is bad news if it does mean the iPhone 5 is launching in September and that it will have 3D it's the most exciting news of the year so far !
