Google Android OS, Google Nexus One

The CEO of Google, Eric Schmidt, has indicated that Google wont be releasing another smartphone to follow the Nexus One . He was talking to to the Daily Telegraph and said that the Google Nexus One made in conjunction with HTC was done to give the Google Android Operating System a kick-start and not a global attack on the Smartphone market.
Schmidt says: "The idea a year and a half ago was to do the Nexus One to try to move the phone platform hardware business forward. It clearly did. It was so successful, we didn't have to do a second one”.
It makes sense to us. Google has Google Android embedded in 165K smartphones sold daily. It makes sense for them to concentrate on Google Android as there is fierce competition.
