Google Voice Updated On Android And BlackBerry
By Simon D Thomas on 27th July, 2010 under Google Voice, Android, Blackberry
Google has updated its Google Voice application for Android and Blackberry mobiles.
The update means that calling on Google Voice is now much faster. In the past Google Voice was sending a request to Google Voice Server to send the phone number you were dialling, which would then be connected via a Google Voice Access number. However, they now have updated the process so that each call is given a unique number meaning you don't need to send that original data before making a call.
For those who may be in the dark about Google Voice enables you to use one number for multiple phone accounts, such as combining a land-line and mobile. Domestic calls are free when using Google Voice. Currently Google Voice is only available in the US, but Google has announced it will be coming to the UK soon.
You can download the updated versions from the Android Market or by visiting the Google Voice website on your Blackberry.
