The BBC has launched a news application for the iPhone and iPad.
The new application enables you to keep up to date with the latest news on your iPhone without having to go to the effort of loading up the BBC website and navigating menus.
The application, which is ofcourse free for tax payers, features news from all the major categories including : Business, Politics, Sport, Technology and the Main News.
The latest news is displayed in categories that you can easily scroll through. You can personalise the news that's displayed on the "home-screen" to suit your individual needs. A news banner is also present which keeps you up to date with all the latest breaking news.
The BBC News App was due to launch in April, but was delayed due to an investigation into the impact on the rest of the industry.
Currently the application is only available on Apples operating system, but the BBC has plans for a BlackBerry and Android version which will be released later this year.
