New 3G HSDPA Femtocell BTS

Japan : A new femtocell BTS ( above ) has been launched by NTT DoCoMo in Japan. This is indoor based and allows customers to link their mobile phones to the DoCoMo network via their home broadand connection.
Femtocells are generally used when mobile phones used at the home or in offices have reception difficulties and are boosted by the femtocell.
The new femtocell BTS is fully compatible with 3G HSDPA and supports :
The new fentocell BTS allows new services to be enabled such as – parents receive an email as their child ( ie mobile phone ) enters the femtocell zone at home.
DOCOMO will begin offering installation of its new femtocell BTS device this fall.
