31st July , 2009
Europe : A new benchmark report from Strategy Analytics has been released called “Mobile Device User Evaluation: Nokia E75”.
The outcome of this usability report confirmed that the Nokia E75 produced good all round success yet some usability issues were noted such as photo capture, image to contact allocation and the silent settings of the device.
One of the most useful aspects of the Nokia E75 which users particularly liked was the two keyboard option. These are a 12 key ABC keypad and the more tradtional full QWERTY keyboard.
The report considered features including :
- sound settings
- calendar
- usability of messaging
- contact management
- other core features
Christopher Dodge ( above ), Analyst at Strategy Analytics explained that the 12 key ABC keyboard is useful for short messages and for longer messages the QWERTY comes into play.
Paul Brown, a Senior Analyst in the Strategy Analytics User Experience Practice, added, “One aspect of the Nokia E75 that frustrated participants was that it would lock the phone every time the QWERTY keyboard was closed.”
