3G LTE Manufacturer Opens Office in Japan

France : ERCOM opened an office in Japan this month. This follows the announcement from the Japanese Ministry of Internal affairs and Communications that it has allocated 3G LTE frequencies for Japanese wireless operators.


ERCOM is a telecom designer and manufacturer of 3G LTE equipment. Its Mobipass suite of products is its flagship product with the focus on its 3G LTE Mobipass base station. It provides functional and load testing resources for operators.


Rikel has been ERCOM’s Japanese distributor since 2008 and the new ERCOM office and staff will provide 3G LTE technical support in readiness for the first 3G LTE launch in Japan which is forecast to be in 2010.

Didier Pagnoux, CEO of ERCOM said : "Our Japanese customers will now benefit from a local team which will bring extensive technical skills to their needs and will assist them in the deployment of ERCOM's solutions".
