multi media company Pedagog Ltd believes it has the technology to make
third generation mobiles profitable.
Pedagog Ltd announces it is streets ahead in multi-media mobile phone (MMS) technology with the launch of a new product.
The company, which specialises in the transmission of video over narrow bandwidth, is offering new picture messaging technology that will enable colour pictures to be transmitted and viewed by the new generation of multi-media mobile phones.
This will not only enable consumers to watch video clips from football matches or movies over their 3G mobile phones, but has further applications in the security and medical professions.
Such Open Circuit Television (OCTV) technology enables remote viewing - for example, a homeowner is able to view what is happening in every room of their household - even while sitting in a hotel room on the other side of the world.
The technology can be used to provide in-town surveillance that will cost only a fraction of the conventional CCTV system, since cameras can be placed in isolated areas without the need for cabling and digging up the neighbourhood.
In another new development called Telemedicine, Pedagog has a three phase development plan with the Welsh Assembly Government to provide A & E junior doctors with a palm top PC enabling them to access specialist advice and visual information as they deal with patients in trauma.
Dr. Olinga Ta'eed, Managing Director of Pedagog Ltd says:
"The application of new technology to such projects heralds a massive breakthrough for the telecoms industry. The struggle to tap the huge new market potential in 3G mobile phones has become a quest for the entire industry and we believe our innovations could provide that long sought-after breakthrough."
Finance Wales, a subsidiary of the Welsh Development Agency, today announced the completion of a syndicated £1 million investment package in Pedagog.
The investment was organised on its behalf by Wales Fund Managers and UK Steel Enterprise Fund Managers Ltd. in conjunction with the Welsh Assembly Government subsidiary.
Colin Mitten, Finance Wales Chief Executive said: "This technology may mean that the telecoms industry may at last start to see a return on the billions invested in 3G mobile phone programmes." |
