Three slash prices of all Sony smartphones on their network
The January sales are now in full force and Three are the latest operator to join the party by announcing a new Sony smartphone sale that will run until the end of the month.
The sale sees the price of all of the Sony smartphones currently available on Three being discounted. That includes the flagship Xperia Z1, the high-end Xperia Z Ultra phablet and the more affordable Xperia M.
We've included details of the new discounts and outlined the main selling points of each of Sony's smartphones below. But if you'd like to jump straight to the deals you can head over to the Three store to get full details of the Sony smartphone sale here.
The 5-inch Sony Xperia Z1 is now available on tariffs starting from £34 a month with the upfront cost reduced to just £19 (down from £49), which gets you 500 minutes, 5000 texts and unlimited data. And it's a 4G ready smartphone so you'll be able to upgrade 'to 4G at no extra cost' on Three.
Our review of Sony's flagship smartphone concluded that 'We’d go so far as to say that the Xperia Z1 from Sony is a design and technology masterpiece – and a real must-have device.' You might be interested to hear that it's currently top of our list of the best Android smartphones.
The Sony Xperia Z Ultra was the world's first waterproof phablet and the 6.4 inch giant is also available on tariffs starting at £34 a month with an upfront cost of just £69 (reduced from £99). That comes with 500 minutes, 5000 texts and unlimited data and it's another 4G ready smartphone.
Our review of Sony's phablet concluded that 'It's a fabulous multimedia machine, which makes playing games, watching movies and surfing the web a joy while you’re out and about.' Sony's Xperia Z Ultra also featured prominently in our list of the best phablets.
The final device benefiting from a price-cut is the Sony Xperia M which is now available free on contracts starting at just £14 a month (a saving of £48). That gets you 100 minutes, 5000 texts and unlimited Ultrafast data, but sadly it isn't a 4G-ready smartphone.
However, it's a great mid-range Android smartphone which came out favourably when compared to Nokia's best-selling Lumia 520. Those looking for a device with decent performance, a solid display and good battery life won't be disappointed with Sony's Xperia M.
