HTC M8 to be larger and more powerful than the HTC One?

By Simon Thomas on 06th January 2014

We already know that the successor to the hugely popular HTC One will unveiled in February or March thanks to information divulged in a recent court case between Nokia and HTC.

The new smartphone, codenamed the HTC M8 (or the HTC One Two), has been rumoured for sometime and we've now got details on its specification thanks to usually-reliable Twitter user EVLeaks.

According to the new information the HTC M8 will have a 5 inch 1080p display making it 0.3 inches larger than the current model. It'll adopt a very similar design to the original, retaining the acclaimed uni-body aluminum design which was one of the HTC One's (pictured above) major selling points.

As well as having a larger display, the new smartphone will be more powerful thanks to the inclusion of a Snapdragon MSM8974 processor, which is a quad-core chipset that can run at clock-speeds of up to 2.4GHz. The HTC One M8 will retain the same 2GB of RAM, Ultrapixel camera and 2.1 mega-pixel camera.

As you'd expect it'll come pre-loaded with Android KitKat and will also include a new version of the acclaimed HTC Sense interface (6.0). That's all we've got for now but as soon as hear more about the HTC One you'll be the first to know.
