Google Nexus 5 to get a colour lift with six new colours
The Google Nexus 5 is currently only available in a choice of black or white, but a new leak suggests that 6 new colours are on the way.
3G completed its Google Nexus 5 review back in November and although we liked the overall performance of the Nexus 5, but we're not so impressed with its looks.
We commented that “The design is what we’ve come to expect from the Nexus stable of devices, and it’s not a standout feature. This is one phone that doesn’t stand out from the crowd”.
The crew over PhoneArena have now obtained a screenshot of the Nexus 5 on Google Play that highlights 6 new colours. It looks as though the smartphone will be available in red, orange, yellow, green, blue and purple which will accompany the existing black and white versions.
If the rumour is true, Google seem to be following Nokia with its multi-coloured range range of Lumia smartphones and more lately Apple and its iPhone 5C.
Adding more colours to the dreary Nexus 5 will no doubt boost sales further. There was no news on when the new multi-coloured Nexus 5’s would become available to buy, but as soon as we get more news you'll be the first to know.
