Samsung Galaxy Note PRO 12.2 priced and dated in UK
Over the next couple of months super-sized tablets are going to be everywhere and will take even more market share away from laptops.
Apple are expected to unveil a new 12-inch iPad Pro later this year and Samsung already unveiled two monster-sized tablets at CES 2014 earlier this month. The Korean company have now confirmed that the flagship Galaxy Note PRO 12.2 will be available to buy in the UK on February 4th.
As for price, well your looking at £649 for the 32GB WiFi-only version of the high-end tablet. That initially seems pretty steep, but on reflection it seems pretty reasonable given the 32GB iPad Air costs £479. Those who pre-order today will also get a free Gamepad (worth £60).
Samsung's tablet has a 12.2 inch touch-screen WQXGA display (2560 x 1600) and the WiFi-version of the tablet comes an octa-core Exynos 5 processor, 3GB of RAM and 32GB of onboard memory. You also get the acclaimed S-Pen interface which has been optimised for the tablets larger display and it comes pre-loaded with Android KitKat.
Both the 64GB and 4G models of the Galaxy Note PRO 12.2 will be made available later in the year. As will the Galaxy TabPRO 12.2, which is identical to the NotePRO 12.2 apart from the omission of Samsung's S-Pen interface - and that should make it cheaper!
Are you thinking of buying a super-sized tablet, or are the current crop of 10 inch tablets already large enough? Let us know your thoughts by leaving a comment below.
