Acer Liquid Z5 Aimed At Price Conscious Buyers

Acer has released details of its latest Android smartphone the Liquid Z5 which can be bought for £140 and should certainly appeal to cost conscious buyers.

Quite a few manufacturers release details of their latest offerings prior to the start of an event like CES 2014 and Acer has done just that. In addition to the Liquid Z5 they have also released the details of three tablets which we've covered in a separate article.

The Acer Liquid Z5 runs on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean and has a 5 inch display screen (854x480 pixels) which features a 16:9 aspect ratio for best possible viewing of movies and video clips.

Physically the Z5 comes with minimalistic curves, rounded edges and a slim body at only 8.8mm deep and weighs a modest 147grams.

The processing power comes from its dual-core 1.3 GHz processor and has 4 GB of internal user storage. That’s more than enough power to run apps side-by-side using the ‘AcerFloat’ multitasking tool.

The 5 megapixel camera supports BSI technology to deliver better low-light sensitivity and comes with a 5 elements f2.4 lens to make picture focus even sharper. In addition, IR filter reflects infrared light to produce more realistic photos.

Liquid Z5 Pricing and Availability

The Acer Liquid Z5 will be available in the UK from the middle of January at a suggested price of £140. The Acer Liquid Z5 will be available in two colours: Essential White and Gentle Grey.
