Sony are rumoured to be launching a new tablet called the Sony Xperia Tablet Z later this year. The rumours , reported by Slashgear, have even revealed the specification of the tablet and the good news is that the Xperia Tablet Z is looking like a high-end tablet.
Firstly, we should point out that it'll be a 10.1 inch touch-screen that will run on Android Jelly Bean. The 10.1 inch Mobile Bravia display runs at 1920*1080 pixels, which offers amazing full HD multimedia playback on the move.
To power a high-resolution device you need a lot of power which is why Sony have put a 1.5 Ghz quad-core processor and 2GB of RAM in the Xperia Tablet Z. Just like the Sony Xperia Z smartphone the tablet will be water-resistant and dust-proof making it highly durable.
Battery life will also be excellent thanks to the inclusion of a 6000 mAH battery with the only downside being that the Xperia Tablet Z could be pretty heavy. Other features of the Xperia Tablet Z are rumoured to include an 8.1 mega-pixel rear-facing camera, a front-facing 2 mega-pixel snapper and support for 4G, 3G and WiFi.
