Sky Go Extra To Offer On-Demand Movies On Mobile Devices

Sky Go

Sky Go first launched back in 2011 when it replaced the Sky Player application. Now the broadcaster are planning to launch Sky Go Extra, which adds even more content to the service.

For those who've never come across Sky Go it enables Sky customers to stream live TV and on-demand content on their smartphone or tablet (over WiFi). The Sky Go Extra service will offer additionall premium content to customers on a subscription basis.

The service, which will cost £5 a month, will let up to four users stream Hollywood movies and TV shows on their mobile device. However, it gets even better because you'll also be able download content to your device to watch it offline.

Downloaded content can be saved for up to 1 month and you can download as many files as you can fit on your device. Standout content includes all of the James Bond films, popular TV shows and over 80 Hollywood movies.

Sky recently made the Sky Go application available on Android Jelly Bean devices, although it did take some time to be made available.  We presume that Sky Go Extra will be available on both Android and iOS devices.

Sky are expected to unveil Sky Go Extra in a couple of weeks time and 3G will bring you more news when we get it !
